(The sassy girls or the grumpy adults are not brought in, of course!) Just when its theme music starts blaring out, we throw off all our chores, even if it involves screwing our life, rush to find the best spot, fight with our sibling and finally ah! The feel we get when we comfortably throw ourselves into the couch and start watching our favourite anime, is just priceless, man! No matter how old we get, this tradition remains unchanged and all our worries just fly into the thin air and leave us light-headed! Every one of us will have our own favourite list of anime, that no matter how many million times we see, we never get jaded! A series that has a high take-on on science, thrill, love, quest, revenge and magic! It is a story of two brothers, who are on an expedition to acquire their bodies back after they lost them to an alchemy “transmutation” which goes wrong and the older brother’s left leg has to be taken while the younger loses his whole body. The elder brother later uses his right arm as imbursement to seize his brother’s soul and affix it to a suit of armour. And then they go on board, and come across unbelievable conspiracies, to find the powerful Philosopher’s Stone that can be used to restore their bodies! A reverberating plot with excellent sound score and breathtaking visuals, is an instant hook on and will leave you gasp with its appealing and unanticipated twists!

Known best for making one shed tears of laughter and remorse, One piece holds its position as the most favourite and funniest anime of all times effortlessly. One Piece narrates the exploration of Monkey D. Luffy, a hilarious young man whose body put on the properties of rubber, after accidentally he eats a Devil Fruit. With his pirate crew, tagged the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy embarks to hit upon the world’s ultimate treasure known as “One Piece” in order to become the next Pirate King. A bit boring at the start but trust me, eventually it promises to keep you amused with its extremely side-splitting moments and will make you want for more with its refreshing storyline and funny scenes!

For all the peeps who love watching dark, grotesque and violent action blocks, then Attack on Titan must be your apparent choice. Set in an inimitable plot between Titans, a monstrous humanoid race who eats humans for no reason, and normal humans who live in cities surrounded by massive walls to protect themselves against Titans, the story tells us about the adventures of Eren Yeager, his foster sister, Mikasa Ackerman, and their childhood friend, Armin Arlert who vow to bash the titans to death after their mother is eaten by them. Definitely not for the weak-hearted, this manga series is loaded with extreme, dark scenes and intense bloody action that leaves you wheezing for breath!

Goku has always been and will continue to remain as the favourite childhood hero for many out there! Yeah. Same emotions, bro! The father of all anime, Dragon Ball z is famous for its long action scenes that keeps you itched to your seats all curious and fretful about what is going to come over! Though it faces criticisms, some for the character development, and some for the continuous use of screams and well, for the long action sequences, it still served as the inspiration for a lot of other anime that followed and its fandom is ever increasing! Hailed as the greatest anime of all seasons, Dragon ball Z speaks for its novelty, epicness and its sprinkle of humour that makes you chuckle even now!

For all the persons who love detective, crime, psychological thrills and brilliant mind games, death note is what you must watch and enjoy. With a simple plot packed with stupendous twists and turns, the writers of this anime must be bloody brilliant to come have come out with such an amazing story. “OMG! What just happened now?” This is how you would gawp out at the unexpected twists you get from every episode, leaving you shocked for the rest of the day. A perfectly structured series with great writing, astounding characters and magnificent sound effects, watch it speak for itself!
With its right dosage of romance, action, suspense, thrills and of course emotion, Naruto emerges as unarguably the best anime ever produced! Besides being an anime for children, it also teaches you great valuable lessons for life and makes us transform into a better person! It has awesome characters that are easily relatable with our lives that teach you how cruel life can turn sometimes, and how persistently you must fight against it no matter how sour it is. It has a normal storyline but presented in a way that is so realistic and believable that we get instantly hooked on to the characters and the story that we never want to get off our sofa. Naruto makes us cry and laugh and teaches us so many things, it is a must watch anime series if you never want to miss awesomeness.

A series that assures to leave a great impact on you, the intelligence of the protagonist will make your heads swirl. With nonstop action, Code Geass is refreshing to eyes with a much developed and short and crisp plot and will keep you weeping for ending too soon.

A gripping story with episodes of emotional scenes that leaves you instantly teary eyed, Cowboy bebop has such intense characters with their own imperfections, weakness, and strengths that they seem so real to us. We instantly get ourselves associated with them and sometimes, it is not a big shock if you get the weird déjà vu feeling. Characters that at the outset appear to be very trivial like Faye and Ed have flashbacks that are astounding and those will make sense of the decisions that they made. Unlike other anime that concentrates more on action and fights, this is totally a different one with such a brilliant ending that will definitely get you rushing for tissues.
